Exemplary Leadership: Sylva, Bello, Maina,Ugbo others to storm NewsDirect 12th Anniversary

Minister of State Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation, NDIC Hassan Bello, and the Group Chief Operating Officer, MRS Holdings Alhaja Amina Maina and others have confirmed physical attendance of the Nigerian NewsDirect Newspaper 12th Anniversary and Award Ceremony.

The ceremony scheduled to hold on Friday, 20th January, at Federal Palace Hotel will witness the presence of a host of dignitaries, including the executive Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, Lagos State, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu,  Chairman UBA PLC Tony Elumelu, Managing Director,Wema Bank PLC Moruf Oseni among others.

Sylva will be recognised as Nigerian NewsDirect ‘Gas Man of the Year’ following his tremendous impact on the Nigerian oil and gas industry. The Minister who has remained focus on formulation of policies that will drive massive  gas production and utilisation in the country will attend the ceremony with his technical advisers on gas, upstream, midstream and downstream activities. From declaration of the year 2020 as a year of gas, the Minister has been able to attract investors and international endorsement for Nigeria’s projects  on the DECADE OF GAS.

Hassan  who expressed confidence in the criteria considered for the nomination will receive the Public Sector CEO of the Year Award after ensuring the smooth operation of Nigeria’s banking sector.

Meanwhile, Maina will receive an award as the “Midstream and Downstream Personality of the Year” due to her sterling contribution to Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.

Also the Managing Director, Niger Delta Power Holding Company (NDPHC) Chiedu Ugbo in a message through the Media consultant said the principal will attend the event to receive the award as the Power Sector Chief Executive Officer of the Year.

Nigerian NewsDirect Anniversary is an annual event to honour deserving Nigerians who excelled across the board as Exemplary Leaders.
