As 2023 general elections draw nearer,  one of the oldest All Progressives Congress  (APC) Elder in Mbaavarakaa Council Ward, Mbatiav, Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State,  Elder Wulu Ishor has honoured the candidate of the APC for Gboko West State House of Assembly, Honourable Hyacinth Dajoh alongside his wife.

Elder Wulu Ishor who gave the honour on Sunday in his country home Achidam Market Square, Mbaanue Kindred of Mbaavarakaa District in Mbatiav, Gboko Local Council,  assured the candidate of overwhelming victory.

He explained  that he was moved by his spirit to honour the Assembly candidate with the conviction that he will attract massive development to his constituency when elected come 2023 election.

Wulu further explained that the honour he was giving to the Assembly candidate in the presence of APC chieftains across Mbatiav and beyond was the demonstration of his total support to the candidate for overwhelming victory in the forthcoming election.

Elder Wulu appreciated all the APC faithfuls who had travelled from far and near to grace the occasion and advised them to ensure the candidate’s  victory by massively voting for him.

Earlier, the chairmen of Mbaavarakaa and Mbaanku council wards Liambee Akange and Kiki Thaddeus called on APC members to vote for all candidates of the APC in the forthcoming election so that democracy dividends will flow in their respective communities.

Mbaavarakaa APC youth leader, Tamber Tardoo, assured the Assembly candidate of total victory and challenged Mbaavarakaa youths to take the project as a must deal.

Speaking with Nigerian NewsDirect shortly after the occasion, Hon. Engineer Aku, predicted overwhelming victory for APC in the 2023 general elections.

He explained that the recent victories by the APC Governorship candidate Rev. Fr. Alia in court against his co-contestants was a message of inevitable victory for APC come 2023.

Engr. Aku lamented the backwardness of Mbatiav people in the scheme of things under the leadership of PDP in the state, but expressed optimism that with the overwhelming victory of APC in the 2023 general elections, Mbatiav people will assume their rightful position politically.

A former SUBEB Permanent member and APC chieftain in Mbatiav, Elder Dennis Golozo said that vote for APC was  the restoration of   Benue State’s lost glory being experienced in the present political dispensation.

He appreciated what Elder Wulu Ishor has done for taking a bold step to honour the Assembly candidate and urged other members of the party  to exhibit the same gesture.

Mr. Gabriel Atondu, younger brother to elder Wulu Ishor tasked Mbaavarakaa people not to vote a member in the House of Assembly who has nothing to offer  to to the constituency, and gave reference  to the present assembly member representing Gboko West in the Assembly, who has not moved any motion since he was elected in 2019.

He explained that their electoral power is in their voters card, pointing out that with the amendment of the electoral act, it is no longer business as usual were manipulation of  election results, snatching of ballot boxes among others were the order of the day but with the new electoral act, voting and election results will be transmitted electronically, while rigging will no longer be feasible.

“By this new technology put in place by INEC known as BVAS,  politicians will now know the value of electorates and as well try to do the needful when they are voted into elective political offices, else, they will be voted out by the people at the expiration of their one tenure of non performance,” he stated.

Also speaking, Hon. Peter Akumbur, Director General, Regina Akume campaign organisation for Gboko/Tarka Federal House of Representative 2023, urged the people to be united for the overall good of Mbaavarakaa District and Mbatiav at large.

Akumbur attested to the capability of the APC candidate to deliver on his mandate and sued for collective collaboration towards the overwhelming victory of all APC candidates in 2023 election.
