Insecurity: Oyo CP solicits cooperation of heads of security agencies in state

In a bid to further strengthen the security architecture in Oyo state, the Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Williams on Wednesday, solicited the support and cooperation of heads of other security agencies in the state.

The CP sought the cooperation when he paid courtesy visits to the Commander of the Western Nigeria Security Network in the state, retired Col. Olayinka Olayanju and Col. James Oladapo, the Director-General of the Joint Security outfit, Operation Burst, in their respective offices in Ibadan

A statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Adewale Osifeso, made available to journalists in Ibadan, said that the meeting was to restrategise and evolve modalities to tackle security challenges in the state.

Osifeso said that the CP thanked his hosts and reiterated the need for cordiality, enhanced professionalism and smart Inter-agency collaborations in the discharge of duties in line with standard practices.

“In the same vein, the Director-General, Operation Burst, Oyo State, Col James Oladapo, commended the seamless working relationship amongst the security agencies in the state and promised to cooperate with the Police in riding Oyo State of crime,” he said.

Present at the two separate meetings were DCP Waheed Ayilara (Operations), CSP Peter Ajogwu, of the state police command and other senior officers of the Amotekun Corps and Operation Burst.
