June 18 Polls: CNPP applauds Ekiti for a peaceful election
…Urges Governor-elect, Oyebanji to keep to his electioneering promises

The leadership of the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP) Ekiti State Chapter has showered encomiums on the people of the State, who came out peacefully to exercise their franchise and for reposing confidence in the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The Conference described the just concluded election as a ground breaking victory for the people whom they praised for collectively achieving the feat.
CNPP in a press statement made available to Nigerian NewsDirect on Monday in Ado-Ekiti, the State Capital, which was jointly signed by the Conference Chairman, Prince Ayo Adelabu and Secretary Pastor Victor Akinola thanked the people of Ekiti for conducting themselves peacefully during the poll.
The release stated that the victorious emergence of Ekiti State Governor-Elect, Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, is absolutely divine and urges all political parties to forget their differences and come together and join hands with the BAO administration immediately after it assumes office.
The Conference equally appreciated the incumbent Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and described as a visionary leader with many legacies, who broke the twenty-three-years jinx by handing over to a successor from his party.
The group also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Security Agencies, as well as other political Stakeholders, for ensuring the poll was conducted in a peaceful atmosphere.It further added that the victory of Mr Governor-Elect is a prelude to 2023.
“What matters now is to direct our energy towards the emergence of the APC Presidential flag bearer, Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu,the great man of our time, the dogged and courageous man and the leader of great repute, emerge President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the Conference said.
The Conference advised BAO not to forget his electioneering campaign promises to the good people of Ekiti State.
