Oyetola’s victory is certain — Amb Adejare

The former speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, who is also the current Nigerian Ambassador to Mexico, Rtd. Hon. Adejare Bello has unequivocally expressed optimism for Oyetola’s victory in the ongoing Governorship Elections in Osun State

Hon. Adejare stated this while speaking with Nigerian NewsDirect at Ede North Ward 3, Polling Unit 4, Ologunagba Akin after casting his vote.

While speaking about the turn out of voters in the ongoing governorship elections, he said “from the look of things, people from my local government and polling unit turnout en masse to exercise their franchise with the hope that what is happening here is also happening here is replicated in other parts of the State, we can say that the election is free and fair without any manipulation.

While declaring the elections as smooth and hitchefree, the Ambassador said “The election is free and fair without any manipulation.”

Expressing satisfaction over the process, he said, “I’m happy everything is moving on smoothly. We could see that this is high time for the good people of Osun to elect their governor for the next four years,” he said “I believe that Governor Gboyega Oyetola will emerge today.”

“You could see people of my units, coming from far and wide to exercise their franchise. Suggesting that the process is free without any manipulation of any kind hostility. So, I’m happy it is now time for the people of Osun State to decide.

Speaking further on the reason behind the large turn out of voters in the polling unit, he affirmed that could be attributed to his grassrooted style of politics haven’t won and lost elections in the State.

According to him, “In this spot (Unit), I’ve contested and won, four good times. I’ve contested and loss, two times as Deputy Governorship and House of Representatives, which I lost the two elections.

“It is because I mobilise people and this is my father’s compound. As such, people definitely will want to support me in whatever I’m doing.

“This is not to say that people will not vote for opposition. But any party I go to, I will large chunk of the vote in the ballot box.

Describing his optimism over the chances of the ruling party in the state, he said, “By the special grace of God Almighty, in the next six hours, Governor Gboyega Oyetola must have come out victorious.

We have done the preparation and campaign. The whole state will attest to the fact we have gone round all the entire local government, including Ede North and South. So you can be assured that Oyetola will be declared the winner.

On whether there are issues with the process, he explained that only two voters could not find their names on the voters register, noting that the process had been hitch free since the commencement of voting.
