Eterna, Berger, Oando, others drive equities market gain to 0.18%

The stock market on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on Thursday closed on positive trading with 0.18 per cent gain following sustained interest in Eternal plc, Berger plc, Oando plc, and 26 others stocks.
Consecutively, the All Shares Index (ASI) moved higher by 85.15 basis points or 0.18 per cent to close at 48,223.86 basis points.
Meanwhile, overall market capitalisation valued rose to N45 billion to close trade at N25.997 trillion.
The stock market sentiments as measured by market breadth was positive as Eternal plc led 29 gainers relative to SCOA which led 9 losers.
The total trade volume dipped yesterday by 30 per cent to 244.694 million units, which valued at N3.151 billion and exchange in 4,859 deals.
On the advancers table, ETERNA and BERGER gained 10 per cent yesterday increased to close trade at N6.05 and N7.70 per share respectively.
OANDO PLC was recorded as the third best gainer which rose by 0.48 kobo to represent 9.90 per cent increased to close trade at N5.33 per share, As MEYER grew by 9.84 to close at N2.12 per share while SKYAVN which recorded as the last fifth gainer appreciated by 0.57 kobo or 9.83 per cent to close at N6.37 per share.
On the losers chart, SCOA recorded yesterday as the most losers which dipped by 0.21 to close trade at, N1.94 per share, accompanied by ABCTRANS dropped by 6.45 per cent or 0.02 kobo to close at N0.29 per share.
NEIMETH PHARMACEUTICAL PLC emerged yesterday as the third best loser which declined by 3.55 per cent or 0.05 kobo to close trade at N1.36 per share, While MAYBAKER depreciated by 0.13 kobo to close trade at N4.27 per share and AIICO INSURANCE PLC which recorded as the last fifth loser went down by 0.01 kobo representing 1.45 per cent to close trade at N0.68 per share.
Transaction in the shares of custodian led the volume and value chart on Thursday, which traded 38.704 million shares valued at N255.451 million.
Followed by Oando PLC which transacted 19.487 million shares valued at N101.332 million.
Fidelity bank traded 17.290 million shares worth 66.860 million, While NB traded 15.264 million shares worth 733.006 million and Transcorp transacted 13.888 million shares worth N14.018 million.
