Our reward is to do more — Oyetola

Governor of State of Osun, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola has said his Administration’s reward for hard work is to do more, assuring the State under his watch would not drift from the path of development.

Oyetola who was responding to Nigerian NewsDirect powered delegation in a Courtesy call paid on his office in Osogbo, the State Capital, on Monday in honour of his achievements in three years of office, said his Administration will not relent at efforts towards driving developmental courses in the State.

“As it is said, the reward for hard work is to do more”, he said, promising that the commitments of his Administration would continue to occasion increasing stride in the developmental agenda of the State.

Oyetola applauded Nigerian NewsDirect’s social responsibility, saying such responsiveness to owing government accountable is a part of democracy the media outfit has within a short time grown to portray.

In his remarks, the Publisher Nigerian NewsDirect, Dr. Samuel Ibiyemi, who applauded the stride of the Governor in executing developmental courses despite the odds of limited resources, said such “commitment and dedication” deserve emulation from other State Governors in the Country.

“If other State Executives could emulate this pattern of administration, then even development will become a reality across the Country,” he said, mentioning that “the principles of fairness, openness and accessibility” displayed by the Governor in his approach to governance is worth emulating.

According to him, strategic policies of the Administration on education, economy, and infrastructures, with responsive implementation timelines have been noted to be very present with the Administration.

“The coordination of policies with human face speaks well of the demands of good governance. We can only look forward to see more of these across the Country. The importance of reforms and sustainability have been observed in enhancing existing structures and the continuity displaced towards inherited projects are commendable approach to governance,” he said.
