Tourism Comet Club International inaugurates new executives
The Ogun state council of the Tourism Comet Club International yesterday inaugurated the 2021 – 2023 state council executives at the June 12 cultural center, kuto, Abeokuta. This is the official handing over ceremony of the immediate past excos after the club’s election held in July.
The programme had in attendance the Director of Employment Generation who represented the Hon. Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Dr Oluwadare Kehinde, Pastor (Mrs) Kuforiji; The Iyaloja Itoku Adore market (Alhaja S. A Akamo), High Chief Faleye Toba (Baálé Ajibode Atuwara), Mr Sunmonu Gbenga; TRN Tunde Abiodun, TRN Sanusi Rasheed ( DG, TCCI Nigeria), Mr Ehiobale Peter and a host of other dignitaries.
The event was declared open by Pastor Mrs Kuforiji.
The swearing in was done by the Director General, TRN Sanusi Rasheed while the decoration of excos was done by the duo of TRN Tunde Abiodun and Alhaja Akamo.
In his acceptance speech, the State Director, TRN Enilolobo Opeyemi charged the newly inaugurated executives to be up and doing. He advised that all excos should work as a team as no one is an island of knowledge.
The State Secretary, TRN Adeyemi Adewale while presenting the action plan of the state council said the the council will see to its members’ welfare, establish more chapters, organize a maiden tourism conference, empower members and develop a website.
He, however implored members to play their part by attending meetings paying their dues.

- Director of Tour – TRN Badmus Hammed
- Director of Planning and Strategy – TRN Rasaq Kolawole
- Welfare Director – TRN Ajijolaiya Taiwo
- Director of Youth Development – TRN Inioluwa Temidayo
- Captain of Tourism Brigade – TRN Sowande Michael
- Tour Guide – TRN Adewale Olawuyi
The compere, TRN Badmus Ibrahim really made rib cracking jokes while Omidan Mitade and her crew from TASUED, MAPOLY and Laspotech chapters gave different renditions that caught the attention of all. The event was followed by an after parte at the Abeokuta Sports Club.
