A member, Representing Abeokuta South federal constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon Lanre Edun, has over the weekend empowered over 500 women selected across 15 wards of Abeokuta South local government.

“We felt that rather than giving them fish, we should support in their determination to fish by themselves, these are part of the reasons why we decided to support them with the items they are already selling.
“They were picked across the 15 wards of Abeokuta South local government and it is our resolve to do more, because making the people comfortable is the whole essence of governance.”
Speaking during the programme, former Vice Chairman of Abeokuta South local government, Hon Soremekun as well as an APC chieftain in the local government, Mr Ebenezer Olufunmilayo, lauded the lawmaker for working in line with his campaign promises while urging other politicians to also take a cue from the kind gesture of this federal lawmaker.
