Eid-el-Kabir: Ibiyemi felicitates with Muslims, sues for prayers for Nigeria

Publisher, Nigerian NewsDirect, Dr Samuel Ibiyemi, has felicitated with Muslims in Nigeria and across the globe on the occasion of the 1442 AH Eid-el-Kabir festival.

Dr Ibiyemi urged the Muslim faithful to intensify their prayers for Nigeria for the continued peace, progress, and development of the country.

In his goodwill message to the Muslim faithful on Tuesday, he enjoined them to continue to imbibe the virtues of love, tolerance, and harmony in their relations with other citizens of the country regardless of their tribe and religious affiliations.

He also urged them to comply with the safety protocols and non-pharmaceutical guidelines against Covid-19 even as they mark the Eid-el-Kabir festival.

“As my Muslim brothers and sisters celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir festival, let us embrace love, tolerance, and harmony without which our unity, as a nation, will be impossible.

“This is a season of love, which we must show to one another regardless of our ethnic and religious affiliations.

“Nigeria is currently facing a lot of problems even amid the Covid-19 pandemic. However, your earnest prayers to Allah can go a long way to deliver Nigeria from the host of problems that confront the nation.

“Pray for unity, peace, progress, and the development of Nigeria. Pray for the leaders that they might sail the ship of the nation to the Promised Land.

“Even as we mark the Eid-el-Kabir festival, we are not completely free from the Covid-19 pandemic. Hence, we must abide by all safety protocols against the virus.”
