Ortom commissions paramount ruler Palace in Benue

Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom  on Thursday commissioned the befitting Palace constructed by his administration for the Paramount ruler of the Tiv nation Tor Tiv the 5th  Professor James Ayatse in Gboko headquarters of the Tiv nation.

The Governor also acknowledged the support and cooperation of the 14 Tiv Local Government Areas with the State Government to the success of the gigantic project.

He disclosed that the process to build a befitting Palace  for the Ochi’Doma had already commenced.

Nigerian NewDirect reports that Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu and Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto were conferred with Chieftaincy titles on the occasion by the Tor Tiv.

In his remarks,  Tor Tiv, Professor James Ayatse, appreciated Governor Ortom for rebuilding the Palace, saying he was happy to be the first occupant as well as having it commissioned during his reign.

Responding on behalf of the other honorees, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State commended Governor Ortom for the recognition and pledged to remain good ambassadors of the Tiv nation especially in peace coexistence.

Nigerian NewDirect further reported  the Governor had earlier commissioned Aper Aku a  Gboko township road of 1.6 kilometers, , Martin Dent road of 1 kilometers and Isaac Shaahu road of 2..5 kilometers constructed by his administration.

Gov. Ortom, accompanied by his Sokoto counterpart Gov. Waziri, Rivers State Gov. Wike, Enugu and Nasarawa States in commissioning critical Projects in Gboko.
