Gunmen kidnap family of five in Ondo

Unknown gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have kidnapped a family of five from Ajowa Akoko Northwest Local Government Area of Ondo State while returning to Abuja after Easter break.
It was gathered that the victims, Ibrahim Olusa, a native of Daja Ajowa, his wife and children were abducted at gun point by hoodlums between Ajowa-Akoko and Ayere in Kogi state.
However, the abduction of these people have thrown the town into apprehension and confusion.
Family sources said the kidnappers have contacted the family and are demanding for 10million naira as ransom before they can be released.
A resident of Ajowa Akoko and the immediate past Chairman of Ajowa Akoko Community council, Ajayi Bakare attributed the kidnapping and robberies on that road to the deplorable section belongs to Kogi state.
Bakare, however, appealed to government to rehabilitate the road so that free flow of vehicles will be made possible.
As of the time of filing this reports, all efforts to speak with Okeagbe Akoko Divisional Police Officer (DPO), Olu Akinwande proved abortive as his mobile phone is switched off.
