Oyo Assembly visits state projects, applaud contractor

The Oyo State House of Assembly, House committee on works and transports visited projects embarked on by state government as they are ensuring that state money are utilize wisely.
The House Committee led by the Chairman, Hon Olatunde Kehinde visited the Oke Oro ajegunle 9.7km road, Saki Ogboro road 33km at Saki west State Constituency before moving to Egbeda State Constituency to check the situation of road construction of Ajia Airport of 13.17km and Amoloko 4km road at Ona Ara local government and finally to the Adamsigba stadium of Ibadan North Local government.
Hon Kehinde while addressing the press said, the Oyo assembly is pleased with the situation of things and most importantly the contractor have been able to manage the work as the previous administration contractor was keen to mismanage the projects for the residents.
“I am pleased and happy to see the development of the projects, these roads had been awarded during the last administration to certain contractor but was revoked when Engr Seyi Makinde came on board and was given to current administration and we are pleased with how things are going on presently.”
“Its an alternative funding projects and the contractor, Peculiar Ultimate Concerns Ltd have shown that they are capable of doing things and we are pleased”
“As you can see, we have walked around to see things for ourselves and we are keen to ensure that good projects are delivered to Oyo state people and with these developments, we have trust that Engr Seyi Makinde is fully committed to the people of Oyo State. The contractor are ready to listen to us and correct all the wrongs of the previous contractor because they listened to us all through this tour”
Lawmaker representing the Saki West Constituency, Hon Julius Okedoyin in his address said the Saki roads has proved that the adminstration under Engr Seyi Makinde is keen in developing the state as all abandon projects are given life to and ready to put smile to the good people of Oyo state.
“Along with my colleagues, I am also impressed that we are having a turn around in Saki as Engr Seyi Makinde is fulfilling promises. I fought with previous contractor because they are not doing the right job and I am happy that the current contractor is listening to the people and doing a wonderful work. One of the works of Assembly is ensure that works are done to the benefit of the people and this is what we are to do, to see things for ourselves and Rub minds with the contractors and we are pleased with them ”
Project Manager Peculiar Ultimate Consult, Engr Eleta Isreal said things observed by the Oyo Assembly House Committee on Roads and transports are to be dealt with as soon as possible as the organization is keen to deliver the project before august.
“They have made their observation known and we are ready to do all corrections. As we all know, the project was taken away from a particular contractor and was given to us and most of the errors we had were from the initial and we have put works in place and do the best
“I can assure you that before you come back, improvement would be made visible to us all and we are to complete the project before august but we are working hard to deliver before then .”
Engr Femi James who is handling the adamasigba stadium the stadium have been upgraded 8000 to1000 capacity aa well as upgrading the pitch from artificial pitch to natural grass pitch to meet the requirements of FIFA.
“We are about to give the stadium a new look as we have extend the capacity of the stadium from 8000 to 1000 and we have replaced the artificial grass to that of natural grass pitch, we are also working on area of the sport center such as the boxing ring, gymnastics, swimming pool, tennis court and hosts. We are committed in ensuring we deliver the project before the agreed time to the Oyo state government”
