NPHCDA to train 13,000 health workers nationwide for Covid-19 vaccination

The national primary health care Development Agency (NPHCDA), has engaged 13,000 health workers nationwide in a training towards the arrival of the covid-19 vaccine. L
This was made contained in a press statement signed by the head of public relations, National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Mr. Mohammad Ohitoto on Thursday.
The nationwide training to include participants from the national, state and local government levels to deliver COVID-19 vaccination at the national and state levels.
The statement revealed that the training is to commence on 1st March to wards and facility levels where over 100,000 health workers will be trained.
The executive director, NPHCDA, Dr. Faisal Shuaib called on Nigerians, particularly the health care workers nationwide, to take advantage of the opportunity provided by the Federal Government to protect themselves and curb the spread of COVID-19.
He explained, that the programme is designed to update the skills of the health care workers in the effective handling, storage and administration of COVID-19 vaccines.
He said a self E-registration link will be provided in the coming days. This link, is created to enable Nigerians to personally register themselves, obtain their pre-vaccination numbers and schedule their preferred date and time for vaccination.
The E-registration link has been created as a way to ensure efficient and effective vaccination activities for the people.
