IPAC swears in new Executive in Ebonyi

…says  Election conducted based on Law

No fewer than 18 registered political parties under the aegis of  National leadership of the Inter-Party Advisory Council, IPAC, have sworn in new executives to run the affairs of the Council for another one year in Ebonyi  State.

The election which took place at the Headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Abakaliki brought together the Chairmen or the representatives of the  registered political parties to elect executives into various positions of IPAC in the State.

Those elected include the State Legal Adviser, Hon.Idoma Samuel of YPP, State organizing/welfare Secretary, Ogbonnaya Igboke of APC, State Publicity Secretary, Austin Nweze Ituma of SDP, Financial Secretary, Hon. Nkwuda Sunday of YPP, State Treasurer, Chief Ricky Okorouka of APGA, State Deputy Secretary, Evang. Kate Ohakam of APM, Secretary, Hon. Ntchita Samuel Akahite of ADP, State Deputy Chairman, Hon. Udume Evo Samuel of ADC and State Chairman of IPAC in the State, Comrade Obasi James Aliuna of Action Alliance, AA.

Swearing in the newly elected executives, the National Chairman of IPAC and AAC, Dr. Leonard Nzenwa who described the election as free, fair and credible called on the Executives to work together for the betterment of the State.

“The Election was free and fair and very transparent for everybody to see. Only 18 registered political parties participated in the election. The executive of IPAC from Abuja witnessed the Election at the INEC headquarters Abakaliki. Those of you who were elected must count yourself worthy to serve in the capacity you were elected.

“The 74 deregistered political parties did not Participate in the election. The 74 are political association. They are in touch with INEC. You must be a registered political party before you can be a member of IPAC. We are standing on the strength of the law to conduct this Election. There is no experience you acquire in life that is not important. It will take you to a greater heights. Nine positions was being vyed for.”

Speaking on behalf of other executives, the new Chairman of IPAC and Action Alliance, AA, Comrade Obasi James Aliuna  called on all the Political parties in the State to come together to build a strong, virile, united and indivisible IPAC that everybody will be proud of.

“I therefore, see this responsibility as one that must not be taken nonchalantly or for granted. I promise to represent you with the utmost transparency, accountability, integrity and honesty.”
