Council chairman inspects road construction projects
Dr Ahmed Apatira, the Chairman of Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area (LCDA), has promised more development in the current fiscal year for the residents of the area.
He made the promise on Wednesday during his inspection of the ongoing road constructions there.
Apatira said that the road which was at its preliminary stage would be delivered for public use soon.
Some residents had lodged complaints to the council over a blocked drainage affecting them.
He said that all the ongoing projects in the area were initiated and being funded through tax payers’ money.
He advised the community members to protect the projects from any form of misuse.
Apatira promised that the council’s authority would expedite actions on their complaints and request to clear the blocked drainage so as to bring lasting relief to the residents.
Chief David Adenekan, a resident of Agboola Street where the road construction was going on commended the chairman for coming to the aid of the residents by reconstructing the bad road.
Some of the residents of the LCDA also commended the chairman for bringing succour to the community through the provisions of access roads.
