73rd birthday: Pray for unity, healing for our lands — Tinubu tells Nigerians

President Bola Tinubu has urged Nigerians to spiritually take part in a special prayer session for the country’s unity, divine direction, and restoration.

As he approaches his 73rd birthday on Saturday, the President has invited citizens to join him at the National Mosque in Abuja on Friday for a dedicated prayer session.

In keeping with this appeal, President Tinubu encouraged Nigerians to pray for the nation’s cohesion, divine wisdom, and healing, whether in their places of worship or from their homes.

This symbolic gesture aims to foster national solidarity and reinforce a shared sense of optimism for the country’s advancement.

A statement issued on Thursday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information & Strategy, described the prayer session as part of Tinubu’s ongoing introspection on leadership and his gratitude for divine protection.

“Opting for a prayer session underscores President Tinubu’s commitment to Nigeria’s spiritual and moral well-being, as well as his dedication to seeking divine wisdom, clarity, and resilience in governance,” the statement read.

Expressing his appreciation to Allah and the Nigerian people, Tinubu stated:

“I am profoundly grateful to Allah for the gift of life and the opportunity to serve this great nation. As I mark another birthday and anticipate our second anniversary in office, my heart is filled with Renewed Hope for Nigeria.

“I urge all citizens to pray for divine wisdom, national unity, and healing across our land. Together, we will overcome our challenges and build a nation where every citizen flourishes.”
