53 rural roads to be constructed in Benue — RAAMP Coordinator

…Clears backlog of staff salary arrears

No fewer than 53 roads are to be constructed across the 23 local government areas of the State by Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP).

The state coordinator, Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP), Hon. Stephen Numbeve revealed this while briefing journalists on the activities of RAAMP in his office on Tuesday, explained that RAAMP has secured funding from European Investment Bank and prepared waiting for the release of the funds to kickstart execution of its lined up projects.

He also disclosed that 6 warehouses are to be constructed by RAAMP in the state with 2 warehouses each in Benue North East zone ‘A,’ Benue North West zone ‘B’ and Benue South zone ‘C’ respectively.

The RAAMP Coordinator further explained that their only source of  funding is from international investors and RAAMP under his watch has not been able to access any fund since he assumed office as the state coordinator.

Numbeve also revealed that he has been able to offset staff salary arrears inherited from his predecessor and promised to deliver on his mandate as the state coordinator of RAAMP for the overall good of the State.
