4 nabbed for alleged cable theft in Kwara

Men of the state Command of the Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps(NSCDC), have arrested four suspects for allegedly stealing some cables wires in Patigi, Patigi Local Government Area of Kwara state.

The suspects include Useni Baba Kupafu, Ibrahim Muse, Hosana Abubakar and One other.

It was gathered that one Nasiru loged a formal complaint at one of the divisonal officers of NSCDC in Patigi to the effect that one Usain Baba also referred to Ndaba broke in to the room and catered away some quantity of cable wire in a sack.

The suspect was said to have been apprehended and dragged to the Civil Defence Office where he was interrogated.

Nigerian NewsDirect also gathered that, the arrest of the principal suspect led to the arrest of three others members of the gang.

Spokeman of the state Command of NSCDC, Babawale Zaid Afolabi confirmed the arrest and interrogation of the suspects in a statement made available to journalists in Ilorin.

The statement further said that though the suspects had been released to their guarantors, further investigation was still ongoing to determine their level of their involvement in the crime.
