36-year-old man declared missing in Ondo
A 36-year-old man named Areola Olagoke has been declared wanted for having a romantic relationship with his fellow man.
The police in Ondo State declared him wanted after he escaped from detention.
A source, who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity disclosed that Olagoke was earlier nabbed in February based on intelligence that he was in a homosexual relationship.
“They discovered some photos and messages that showed he was in a relationship with one guy.
“They arrested him. He spent four days there, but he somehow ran away from detention afterwards.
“He has been missing since then. And no one knows anything about his whereabouts. Not even his family members,” the source said.
According to the source, although Olagoke was married with children, he was using the marriage as a cover for his homosexuality.
The source further said anybody who knows his whereabouts is expected to report to the nearest police station, adding that whoever harbours him would be treated as an accomplice.
