The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) Ogun State has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of Saturday local government elections passing vote of confidence on Mr Babatunde Osibodu led State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC)

IPAC equally lauded OGSIEC Chairman for conducting what it described as one of the best local government elections in the history of the State

Ogun State Chairman of IPAC,  Comrade Abayomi Arabambi made this declaration during a press conference held in Abeokuta on Monday

Arabambi, while congratulating the newly inugurated 20 local government chairmen in the state said that the press briefing became imperative to laud the Prince Dapo Abiodun led government for a seamless local government transition process and dissociate the association from those kicking against the process.

He explained that, “The Inter Party Advisory Council is a coalition of political parties in Ogun state and having been part of the process leading to the organising the local government election that is adjudged as one of the best so far in the history of the state, the council has decided to further validate the exercise with this press conference.”

Arabambi said an administration that is committed to the overall well being of the people and the development of the state by organizing a free and fair election that will bring about good governance at the grassroots deserves nothing else but commendation.

He enjoined those not satisfied with the outcome of the election to approach the law court rather than causing disaffection in the state that is already enjoying the benefits of good governance.

The Chairman commended the giant strides of the administration, and maintained that the hallmark of a good opposition is to recognize good performance.

He promised that the council will continue to fight for the interest of the state.
