Super Falcons’ fitness trainer, Kyle Quigley, has said he will assess the team’s fitness at the weekend.
The nine-time African champions are currently in Brisbane, Australia, for a 15-day training tour ahead of the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
The Falcons had their first training session since arriving in the City on Wednesday.
“That is something I have to find out for myself. I have never met the group before,” Quigley said in a short video posted on the NFF’s Twitter handle.
“So integration, see where they are; today, I’m observing, and from the weekend, I’ll have my sessions with the team, and I’ll assess them from there.
“Of course I am excited; it’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, the World Cup. It doesn’t get any bigger in women’s football.”
The Super Falcons will be making their 10th World Cup appearance in Australia and New Zealand.
Randy Waldrum’s side are drawn in Group B with Canada, Australia, and Republic of Ireland.
