2023: We are good to go – Obaseki
Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has charged members of his party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to learn how to accommodate each other and work for the success of the party.
He spoke on Friday on the occasion of the inauguration of the State Campaign Council for the 2023 Presidential Elections.
The Governor took a swipe at those who are working at cross purposes with the party “why is it that some people are not working in line in what was obtainable in the party in the early days of its formation?”
He disclosed that he will be stepping aside from governance to political campaigns with a vow that the state government under his leadership has done enough to campaign with.
The Governor charged all members of the Campaign Council to work tenaciously and go round the different wards for campaign to ensure the success of the party at the polls in 2023.
In a chat with reporters at the occasion, Barrister Kenneth Imansuangbon, a chieftain of the party, said that the party’s Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, whom he described as a unifier, has done enough to turn around the fortunes of the country for the better in all spheres.
