The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe, says the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) national convention is an indication of the party’s victory in 2023.
Balarabe said this while speaking with newsmen in Lafia on Monday.
According to him, the peaceful and successful conduct of the election that ushered in Sen. Abdullahi Adamu as National Chairman and other National Working Committee (NWC) members of the party through consensus is a confirmed sign of victory for the party beyond 2023.
He said the emergence of Adamu and other NWC members of the party through consensus has shown the peace and unity among stakeholders and members of the party.
The speaker expressed optimism in the ability of Adamu to deliver on the mandate considering his vast experience in politics and administration.
“On behalf of myself, principal officers and members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, I wish to congratulate and rejoice with Sen. Abdullahi Adamu as the National Chairman and other National Executive Council members of our great party, the APC.
“The emergence of APC Chairman, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu, and other officials through consensus portrayed APC as one big family with ability to resolve differences internally.
“The election of His Excellency, the former governor of the state, Sen. Abdullahi Adamu and other National Working Committee members of the party is a sign of victory to our great party in 2023 and beyond.
“Sen. Adamu and his team have the capacity and ability to take our great party, APC to greater heights in the country,” he said.
Balarabe therefore advised the NWC to work together and continue to unite members for the success of the party in 2023.
He assured the new national officials of full support from the Nasarawa lawmakers.
Balarabe congratulated Adamu and his team on their victory at the national convention and wished them fruitful tenure.
He commended the dexterity of President Muhammadu Buhari for bringing all members of the party together.
The speaker further commended President Buhari and Gov. Abdullahi Sule for their developmental strides, urging them to sustain the efforts.
While calling on the people of the state and Nigerians to continue to support Buhari’s administration, the speaker restated his determination to ensure speedy development in the state.
