2023 Presidency: MC Oluomo holds 5 million-man march on Sunday for Tinubu

The Chairman of Lagos State Parks and Garages Management Committee, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, has planned to hold a solidarity rally for the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Sunday, October 9, 2022 in Lagos.

In a statement signed and posted via his Twitter account, Oluomo announced that the proposed five-million-man walk is in support of the re-election bid of the Lagos State Governor, Bababjide Sanwo-Olu, and his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat.

It would be recalled that a statement was earlier released announcing the postponement of the rally. Adesanya hinted that it was due to an envisaged logistic problem.

The release stated further, “Tinubu-Shettima and second term of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat solidarity walk still holds on Sunday”.

He reminded all members of the committee, lovers and supporters of the party, that the solidarity walk for the actualisation of Tinubu/Shettima Presidential ambition and the second term bid of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu/Hamzat would hold on Sunday as planned.

Adesanya implored his teeming followers and all the party faithfuls to disregard the earlier postponement notice.

He noted that the Take-off point would be Teslim Balogun Stadium in Surulere, as the walk terminates at Bolade-Oshodi, all in Lagos.

According to the statement, the time of commencement is put at 9am.

The chairman however apologized to all concerned for any inconvenience the arrangement could cause them.

Meanwhile, Lagosians have been advised in a public notice circulated around the city to “plan their movement on this day to church with discernment and avoid any non-emergency outing or visit (if possible)”.
