The establishment of Amotekun Corps has also been a blessing to our state for the effective policing of our boarder areas against banditry, kidnapping and terrorism”.

“As we proceed to meet our people to seek their votes in this campaign for all our candidates in the States, let me assure you all that, our administration will remain unwaveringly committed to the equitable development of our State and the implementation of people oriented and purposeful infrastructure, in line with our policy of inclusiveness and good governance”.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, a former governor of the state, who doubles as the Grand Patron of the Campaign Council, Aremo Olusegun Osoba, said he was extremely happy with feat achieved in the State by the Governor Abiodun-led government in Ogun State in the last three and half years.

While saying that APC has marketable candidates for the forthcoming elections from Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as Presidential candidate and his running mate, Senator Kasshim Shetima, to Governor Dapo Abiodun, all Senatorial, Federal House of Representatives and State House of Assembly candidates, Aremo Osoba charged party loyalists to work very well for the success of the party and all its candidates in the 2023 elections.

“The 2023 general elections begin on Monday with distribution of Permanent Voters’ Cards (PVCs) by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Therefore, all party faithful should mobilise people, who are yet to collect their PVCs, to go out and collect their PVCs so that they can vote during the elections.

He expressed displeasure that South West region has the highest number of uncollected PVCs in the country.

He equally advised all candidates of the party to include the party logo “broom” in their campaign posters and banners, saying that during elections, voters’ will look out for party logo and not candidates’ faces.

Osoba appealed to all aggrieved members of the party to sheath their sword and work for the success of the party during the election.
