2023: I am having my stolen mandate back very soon, Adebutu assures Ogun residents

Hon Ladipupo Adebutu, the PDP governorship candidate in the state has told the ruling party and Gov Dapo Abiodun never to rejoice even as the governor had yesterday collected the Certificate of returns from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the winner of March 18 gubernatorial poll.

Hon Adebutu disclosed that the opposition party regarded the declaration of Gov Abiodun as the winner of the of Ogun State governorship poll as nothing but a broad daylight robbery and subversion of the people’s will that would be challenged at the tribunal.

Adebutu claimed that the people of the state had clearly rejected Abiodun for another term because of his lackluster performance with no regard for the welfare of the people saying that in a matter of weeks, the light will shine on all that are hidden and the truth will be revealed to all the doubting minds that PDP won the election fair and square.

Hon Ladipupo Adebutu disclosed this on Thursday, while speaking to the party faithful at a press briefing held at Park Inn, Kuto, Abeokuta shortly after Abiodun received his Certificate of returns.

The former federal lawmaker alleged intimidation and all forms of suppression and acts of brigandage which he said that the APC employed to steal victory in the last governorship election in the state.

He has however urged the party members in the state to keep faith with God saying that his stolen mandate would be retrieved at the tribunal.

Adebutu thanked the people of Ogun State for voting for PDP in the governorship election explaining that they would never regret their choice by the time he got back his mandate.
