A group known as The G64 Forum of Ebonyi State has at its general meeting held  at Salt Lake Hotel, Abakaliki, unanimously thrown  its weight behind the Ebonyi PDP’s adoption of  Former Senate President, Anyim Pius Anyim as its candidate for the 2023 Presidential election.

The Forum Chairman, Mr. Okechukwu Ukpai, expressed the Forum’s gratitude to Chief Anyim for offering himself for service to the country at a time of great national difficulty, where strong and stable characters are needed to rescue the country from disintegration.

He recalled Anyim’s  pedigree as Former President of the Senate, describing as a stabilizing force in the Administration of Former President, Goodluck Jonathan when he served as Secretary to the Government of the Federation.

Ukpai also recalled how  Anyim’s  personality stabilized the turbulence in the Senate in his time which he anchored peacefully and productively throughout his tenure as Senate President.

The Forum used the opportunity to unveil its campaign poster for  Senator Anyim and pledged to do all in its power to support the  ambition of this great patriot so that Nigerians can smile again.

The Forum also called on  Nigerians from all walks of life and other ethnic units in Nigeria to support  Pius Anyim in his bid to lead this country as President in the interest of equity, justice, fairplay and for  the overall unity and peace of the country.

The  Group pointed out that the unity and stability of Nigeria lies in equitable distribution of our common heritage, hence  it calls on all regions of the country to support the president of Nigeria from South East Region in the person of Distinguished Senator Anyim, as the hope for a United Nigeria.
