2023: Genuine Christians can bring out desirable change – Sunday Iyunade

The founder and President of Pentecostal Sanctuary Bible Ministries (PSBM) Ode Egbo, Ijebu Ode, Prophet Sunday ‘Dare Iyunade has said that genuine Christians with fear of God and passion for nation building could turn around the tide for good as the country inches closer to electing another set of her political leaders come 2023.
Prophet Sunday Iyunade disclosed that as the country prepares for its 2023 general elections, the church should not sit on the fence but rather encourage and rally support for any member who wants to be ambassador of Christ in politics and help them to achieve their political aspirations.
He said it was time Christians stop condemning and criticising others but to rather get involve in the politics of the country and go there to be shining light while helping with the grace of God to correct the perceived wrongs and mis-governance in the country.
The man of God gave this counsel at a press briefing held at the PSBM headquarters, Odo Egbo, Ijebu Ode to herald the church’s 20th convention and 26th anniversary which runs between March 20 to Sunday, March 27. The theme of this year convention is “God of All Sufficiency”.
Pastor Iyunade disclosed further that ”it is definitely not wrong for Christians to play politics as long such people have the flair for nation building like Nehemiah who stirred up others to rebuild Jerusalem. The church of God should rally round such people and assist them to achieve their political aspirations. It is time Christians stop condemning but get involve in the political process to bring us desirable leadership”.
Speaking on the prophesy for the country, the man of God said that the hardship currently being witnessed in the country will continue except Nigerians pray for divine intervention maintaining that the ruling party, APC will surely pay dearly for putting people through so much hardship in the land.
Prophet Iyunade also said that he saw a very strong political wave of reformation sweeping through the country very soon and that this incident would shake the country and usher in new era for the country.
While saying that the problem of insecurity confronting the country would stay around for a very long time because it has become instrument in the hands of some politicians, the man of God also said that the country has no saviour among those already declaring interest to take over from President Muhammadu Buhari next year.
He equally talked of a political giant who has the praises of people saying that his ambition would however usher him into the terminal point of his political career.
While urging Nigerians to pray against death of some political giants in the country, Prophet Sunday Iyunade also lauded Gov Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State for entrenching good governance and selfless leadership through several people oriented projects urging him not to relent in his efforts to make life easier for the residents of the state.
He said some Christian leaders encouraging and giving backup to bad leadership in the country must urgently repent before the wrath of God catches up with them.
The man of God equally disclosed that Russia will suffer dire consequences for invading Ukraine urging people to pray for quick return of peace to this troubled part of the world.
Speaking on the one week convention programme of the church, Prophet Iyunade said that the convention rally holds on Sunday, March 20, and that from Monday, March 21 to Thursday there will be revival at the PSBM headquarters, Ode Egbo, Ijebu Ode from 5pm daily while the Ministers’/Workers’ Conference holds by 9am starting from Tuesday.
The annual praise night holds on Friday, March 25 while Thanksgiving and Ordination Service holds on Sunday all at the church campground, Zion City along Eruwon/Atan Road, Ijebu Ode.
