The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Gboko West State House of Assembly at the state assembly elections, Hon. Hyacinth Dajoh has defeated the incumbent candidate for the Gboko West state assembly on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Terna Achir.
INEC returning officer for Gboko West Constituency, Professor O.M Nder declared Hon. Hyacinth Aondona Dajoh as the winner of the Gboko West House of Assembly election for having scored the highest votes cast.
According to the returning officer Hon. Dajoh polled 13,387 votes to beat the incumbent, Hon. Terna Achir who scored 6,588 votes.
Nigerian NewsDirect reports that Hon. Dajoh while addressing his teeming supporters shortly after being declared of the election thanked the people of Benue State and Gboko West constituency in particular for the confidence they have reposed in him and promised not to disappoint them.
