2022: Oyetola will be victorious — Osun APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Osun state chapter, has stated that the recent outing of Governor Gboyega Oyetola in Ile Ife, Gbongan, Ode Omu, Orile Owu and Otan Ayegbaju in Boluwaduro local government areas was a momentous campaign that will completely sweep the PDP out of the state.
The Party said with the mammoth crowd of members and supporters of the party, there is no doubt that Gov. Gboyega Oyetola’s popularity ‘is undeniable and will be victorious in the July 16 governorship election, and if there is any doubt in the minds of opposition,’ the show of support from people of Osun is enough to clear those doubts.
A statement signed by the party’s Directorate of Publicity, Research and Strategy, and made available to journalists in Osogbo, the state capital.
The Party said that it is only a Governor that has impacted the lives of the people positively that can attract the kind of reception given to Gov. Oyetola since he kicked off his re-election campaign in Ile Ife with prayers from Ooni of Ife, the Imperial Majesty, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Ojaja 11.
According to the party, “Whatever the critics and the opposition may say, Gov. Oyetola is on course to be victorious in the July 16 governorship election with a landslide victory.”
“In fact, the event was carnival-like and the mammoth crowd was a representative of popular and unalloyed support and indicative of joy of a people who were showing appreciation on what Gov. Oyetola has done for them in the last 42 months of his administration.”
Ooni of Ife, Oba Ogunwusi said that the indelible achievements of Governor Gboyega Oyetola would speak for his re-election, adding that Oyetola has performed excellently well in transformation of the state of Osun.
According to Oba Ogunwusi, “It is unbelievable that Oyetola led administration can perform beyond people’s expectations despite the lean allocation coming to Osun, but my prayer is that the administration of Governor Gboyega shall continue to do well beyond 2022.”
Olufi of Gbongan Oba Dr. Adetoyese Oyeniyi Odugbemi 1 also eulogised Governor Gboyega Oyetola for fulfilling all his promises made during the last electioneering campaign, adding that the Oyetola has performed beyond people’s expectations and he deserves to be re-elected.
While speaking on behalf of traditional rulers, the Owa of Otan Aiyegbaju, Oba Lukman Fadipe and the Oluresi of Iresi, Oba Sikiru Adeseun said they would do everything within their powers to get Alh. Gboyega Oyetola re elected, adding that Oyetola’s modest achievements had earned him second term and that any attempt to decide otherwise would be suicidal to the future of Osun.
“Though, we are fathers for all as traditional rulers and we supposed to be apolitical but Oyetola has convinced us all with unusual developmental projects and achievements in all nooks and crannies of Osun which beyond people’s expectations. We have thoroughly assessed your indelible achievements and you are the best to win your re-election bid,” said Oniresi.
“Your Progressive developmental projects and achievements have surpassed what we had experienced in the past. Infact, you have proved to us that truly you are a financial wizard and prudent manager of resources. You have done better than expectations and we will do all within our limit to get you relected.”
While addressing the mammoth crowd, the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator Christopher Ajani Omisore said that the Oyetola-led administration has done more than he promised the people of Osun in terms of unprecedented developmental projects in all nooks and crannies of Osun.
Omisore therefore appealed to the entire people of Osun to support and vote for APC in all elections especially in the July 16 governorship election in Osun.
While speaking, the people’s Governor of Osun, Alh Gboyega Oyetola said that “my election is not ‘fire-for-fire,’ I don’t have Dollars, Pounds and Euros to distribute but what I have is developmental projects that will benefit all and sundry in all nooks and crannies of Osun.”
“My Administration has been paying salaries and pensions as and when due and developmental projects that are visible are being experienced in all nooks and crannies of Osun without borrowing a kobo from any organisation.”
The Party also eulogised the entire political leaders, members and supporters of the APC in Ifeland, traditional rulers, Chiefs, religion leaders as well as Road Transport workers, artisans, students’ Unions, Traders, Iyalojas and many others, for the love demonstrated toward the success story of the party.
The Party therefore enjoined the entire people of Osun to support the APC wholeheartedly and vote for Gboyega Oyetola in the July 16 governorship election for the betterment of all and sundry in the state.
