2022: Ojokoro council chairman presents N3.8bn budget

…Reiterates commitment to continued transformation

The Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos State, Hammed Idowu Tijani has presented a N3.8billion budget estimate to the Council’s Legislative Chamber for approval.

This is even as Tijani restated his administration’s commitment to transforming Ojokoro LCDA and improving the standard of living of residents.

While presenting the budget recently, he said the budget which has an increase of 10 per cent compared to the previous year’s, would be funded through federal allocation, state grants, loans and dues, among others.

Titled “Budget of Continued Transformation,” the council boss said a sum of N1.5 billion would be set aside for non-current assets and social services expenditure as directed by Lagos State.

He said as part of the Council’s statutory roles as the third tier of government, “developmental projects which would impact positively on the lives of the people and meet their yearnings and aspirations will be vigorously pursued.

“This administration will continue to embark on the execution of far reaching socio-economic projects with a view of making life more meaningful to the good people of the Local Council Development Area,” he added.

In his remarks, Leader of the Legislative House, Hon. Tunde Oyekunle assured that the house would give the budget estimates accelerated consideration and approval.
