2022 Ife Day: Committee releases plans of activities

Ahead of the celebration of Ife Day 2022, the Ife Development Board (IDB) has released schedule of activities to mark this year’s edition of the celebration.
This is contained in a statement issued by Dr. Samuel Ibiyemi, a member of the publicity committee.
According to the statement, the programme will commence between Friday, 9th and Saturday 10th, December, 2022.
The event on the first day will discuss an inter generational conversation on Yoruba culture as a strategic imperative for development and ‘The Future Imagined: unveiling IFEVISION2050, the Ife Development Agenda’ which will hold at Ife Resorts, Ibadan Rd, Ile-Ife.
The statement stated further that the second day will involve ‘The Gathering of the People’ which includes People’s Awards, a Concert of Starlets and the Ife Day Carnival during which social clubs and dignitaries assemble in their gaily attires and canopies to watch performances including the procession of chiefs, clans and ancestral compounds as well as clubs and associations who will file past to pay homage to the Oonirisa.
