2022: Ekiti lawmaker promises constituents robust representation
Mr Olatunde Joseph, the lawmaker representing Ekiti South-West in the State House of Assembly, has pledged to continue to advance the cause of his constituents through sponsoring people oriented bills..
Joseph gave the pledge on Wednesday at a town hall meeting with members of his constituents held at Igbara-Odo-Ekiti, in Ekiti South-West Local Government Area of Ekiti.
The lawmaker said that the meeting was aimed at giving his stewardship and also get feedback as well inputs of the people he represented on the best way to facilitate more development.
Highlighting some of his achievements, Joseph said “We have been able to facilitate renovation of schools in Igbara-Odo-Ekiti, Ogotu-Ekiti and it environs through the Ekiti Community Development and Infrastructure Agency (EKCIDA).
“We have ensured that 50 of our old men and women are benefitting from the N10,000 monthly grant from the State government tagged,”Owo Arugbo.”
“We have also facilitated the rehabilitation of Ibuji/Igbara-Odo-Ekiti road, which make our communities accessible.
“We have also ensured that the Ikere/Igbara-Odo-Ekiti road is captured in the 2022 budget and we hope work will commence soon,” he said.
Joseph further promised to ensure that the people of his constituents enjoy more dividends of democracy in the 2022 and beyond.
Speaking at the forum, a community leader and chieftain of APC, Chief Durodola Elejofi, thanked the lawmaker for making sure that the people enjoy government’s projects and development.
Elejofi called on the lawmaker to do more by bringing more projects to the communities.
Other speakers at the event lauded the lawmaker for contributing to the development of the communities and encouraged him to do more in year 2022.
