2021 Budget: Ojokoro LCDA to spend N3.4bn

Mr Hammed Tijani, the Executive Chairman of Ojokoro Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Lagos State, has presented a budget of N3.4 billion for the year 2021 to the Council’s Legislative House for consideration and passage into law.

Reports state that the appropriation bill christened “Budget of Consolidation” is to consolidate on the developmental strides of the administration.

“It is called budget of consolidation considering the number of projects and programmes executed by the administration from 2017 till date.

“The budget size for the financial year is put at three billion, four hundred and seventy-nine million, three hundred and ninety-seven thousand, five hundred and forty-three naira, sixty kobo (N3,479,397,543.60),” he said.

The chairman assured that more dividends of democracy would be extended to all and sundry, as every available resources would be judiciously utilised.

“We assure you of more dividends of democracy as all funds generated will be judiciously spent for the development of Ojokoro, the land of prosperity,” he said.

Mr Abdul-Azeez Osho, Leader of the Legislative House, Ojokoro LCDA, who received the document on behalf of other councillors, assured the council boss of speedy consideration of the appropriation bill.

He said that its implementation would bring comfort to the people, once approved.

“We shall begin the approval process on the 2021 Budget and ensure its speedy consideration, as this will bring comfort to our people,” he said.

Osho, on behalf of his colleagues in the legislative house, thanked stakeholders who were present at the presentation of the budget.
