185,825 residents benefit from micro-projects under Adeleke Govt — Osun CSDA

The General Manager of Osun Community and Social Development Agency, (CSDA) Funmi Aderonke Abokede has said no fewer than 185,825 residents of Osun state have benefitted from the micro-projects of the agency since the inception of Governor Ademola Adeleke’s government.

Speaking at the Correspondents’ Chapel in Osogbo on Thursday, Abokede said 91,286 males and females 94,439 are beneficiaries across the state.

Abokede further said that the agency has completed 176 micro-projects across the 30 local governments in the state.

Abokede stated that the projects cut across health, education, and sanitation and 64 lock-up shops at Atakumosa market within 16 months.

She explained that 38 projects were completed in education, 11 in health, 121 in water, and 6 social economic projects were done by the agency.

She said that the Osun CSDA micro project is to complement the effort of the macro projects of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Abokede stressed that with the help of the agency, the present government has touched the lives of people who are downtrodden, vulnerable, and voiceless and who would be easily forgotten.

According to her, “185,825 beneficiaries (91,286 males and 94,439 females) from water and health centers have benefitted since the inception of Governor Ademola Adeleke.

“176 micro-projects have been completed that cut across health,  education, and sanitation at different locations in the state and 64 lock-up shops at Atakumosa market.

 ”About N2billon was committed to the Osun micro project.

“There is a Bakassi community in Ife-South which is a 12-hour journey to and fro, if not because of the committed government and through the agency such places before this time never had the presence of government.

“We are not relaxing, our agency is working to touch the lives of people who are downtrodden, vulnerable, voiceless who would be easily forgotten.

“We commend the state government for support and we seek more in the direction of Transformer and roads,” she added.
