14-yr-old choir member defiled by church’s G O has been bleeding since last year Oct-Victim’s mother tells Ogun police

A 14-years-old choir member of The Beloved Chapel at No 9, Iyaniwura Street, Off Owonikoko, Agbado area of Ogun State who was said to have allegedly been defiled by the General Overseer of the church, one Pastor Isreal Adebayo, is said to have continued bleeding since last year October when the ugly incident happened.
The mother of the victim was said to have made this disclosure according to statement released on Sunday by the Spokesman of the state police command, SP Abimbola Oyeyemi.
The randy G O was also said to have been arrested after the mother of the victim reported his dastardly act to the Agbado Division of the police.
The mother of the defiled teenager was said to have told the police that while she traveled to treat herself of certain ailment, her daughter who was a choir member in their church, went to the church and the Pastor lured her into his room and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her.
Upon this report, the DPO Agbado division was said to have detailed his detectives to the scene where the Pastor was promptly arrested.
On interrogation, Pastor Adebayo who admitted defiling the victim pleaded for forgiveness. He was said to have explained that his family and that of the victim were so close, but he didn’t know how and why such thing happened to him.
Police stated further that preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect would have been arrested long ago, but the mother of the victim frustrated the move because she doesn’t want to offend her Pastor.
However, when she observed that her daughter has continue bleeding from her private part since the incident happened in October 2021, she was left with no other option than to allow police come into the matter.
The teenage choir member who claimed that the Pastor was the first person to sleep with her is said to be currently recuperating in an hospital.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Lanre Bankole has ordered the transfer of the case to state Criminal Investigation Departments for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The CP also warned parents to stop the habit of covering anybody who indecently assaulted their daughters no matter how close they are to such persons as they too may be liable for prosecution for compounding felony.
