The Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps has arrested 14 miscreants in the Oshodi area of the state for harassing passengers.

The suspects will be prosecuted in accordance with the Lagos State environmental law.

Tokunbo Wahab, the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, made the disclosure on his verified X handle (formerly Twitter) on Thursday.

He vowed that the arrested persons would be prosecuted for their actions.

Wahab said, “Fourteen miscreants who are harassing passersby and passengers at Terminal 3 in Oshodi were earlier today apprehended. They have been profiled and would be prosecuted in accordance with the Lagos State environmental law.”

The arrests are part of efforts to maintain law and order and enforce environmental policies for a cleaner and saner Lagos.

In a related development, the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) and the Ogun State Environmental Protection Agency (OGEPA) have launched a joint media campaign to ban open defecation along the Lagos/Ibadan Expressway.
