African Democratic Congress (ADC) 2019 governorship candidate in Ogun state, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka said that he decided to lead thousands of his supporters to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) because of the committed interest of Gov Dapo Abiodun to pursue policies that would make life more abundant and rewarding for an average citizen of the state.

Prince Gboyega Isiaka disclosed that his political movement was anchored deeply on the progressive ideologies of human capital development, basic Infrastructure, care for the weak, good wages policy, functional and well funded pension scheme, robust economy among others.

He however said that all these indices for life abundant for the residents of the state have well been captured by APC administration under Prince Dapo Abiodun hence his decision to lead thousands of his supporters to join the ruling party.

The Imeko born Chartered Accountant turned politician who has contested three times to be governor of Ogun state stated this on Tuesday at Ake, Abeokuta while speaking during the mass defection of his loyalists in ADC as well as PDP members to APC.

He added that though he might have lost the last election but he has always been of the opinion that after election, governance must take the centre stage and was therefore very excited when Gov Abiodun extended his hand of fellowship towards him and his political structure urging them to join him in the tasks of building a solid future for the state.

He explained that having watched governance in the last seven months under Prince Abiodun, he and his loyalists believed that they would be doing the state a lot of good if they decided to team up with the current administration to further take the state to the next level.

He said though, alignment in politics are not new with some at times plagued by deficit of clear ideological orientation and sincerity of purpose, but the official declaration of his political structure into the APC was a display of sacrifice, sincerity of purpose, value alignment and willingness to pursue the common good.

GNI as he is fondly called has therefore directed members of his Believe Movement from this week to join the ward meetings of APC and help in the further building of the party

towards making life much more rewarding for the people of the state
