Senator Ben Murray-Bruce has insisted that former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar, is not fighting the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Instead, Murray-Bruce in an update on his Twitter page, says Atiku wants APC to fulfill the campaign promises they made in 2015, before President Muhammadu Buhari was voted into power.
He tweeted: “@APCNigeria has it wrong. @atiku isn’t fighting APC. Rather he’s fighting for them to fulfill their campaign promises. There’s a difference.”
Last week, Atiku claimed that he had been pushed to the corner by Buhari’s government , which he said he helped into power in 2015.
Atiku’s salvo at the government came on a day, one of Buhari’s Ministers, Aisha Alhassan, said she would resign from the cabinet should Atiku announce he would run for president in 2019.
