Ogun State Governor-elect, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has announced Mr Tunde Lemo, former deputy governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, (CBN) as the Chairman of his 23-man Economic Transition Committee.
The committee is to articulate his campaign manifesto, ensure robust engagement with stakeholders and develop a roadmap to guide its implementation.
Other members of the com-mittee are Dapo Okubadejo, Secretary, Senator Gbenga Kaka, former deputy governor, Alhaja Salimot Badru, Dr Reuben Abati, former Presidential Spokesman, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka, Mr. Foluso Phillips, Prof. Konyin Ajayi, Mr. Kunle Elebute, Mr. Rotimi Paseda, Mr. Mutiu Sunmonu. Others are Mr. Olajide Odewale, Chief Kayode Sofola, Prof. Sidi Osho, Prof. Semiu Musa Olomu, Engr Bayo Adeola, Mr. Tola Mobolurin, Mr. Lekan Asuni, Dr. Tunji Oredipe, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, Arc. Dunni OpayemiMr. Bola Ogunsola and Chief Bode Mustapha
In a Press Statement issued by his spokesperson, Remmy Hazzan, the Governor-Elect was quoted as saying “Ogun State is blessed with an abundance of human resources in all fields of endeavour and this is reflected in the array of distinguished sons and daughters who have volunteered their skills, rich and diverse experience and vast network to work on this important assignment”.
Prince Abiodun said “our commitment to provide an inclusive Government is expressed in the composition of the committee.
To ensure an effective and efficient discharge of its assignment, the Economic Transition Committee will be assisted by Work Groups, each of which will focus on its assigned thematic area such as Education, Youth and Sports; Health and Social Services; Government Processes; Agriculture and Food Security; Transformational Initiatives, among others.
