Manchester City midfielder, Kevin De Bruyne, has said that Pep Guardiola is keen to bring on board Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez, because he will add something different to the squad.
City were close to bringing Sanchez last summer. A £55m deal was agreed in principle for the Chilean, only for Arsenal to pull the plug on the transfer after failing to secure a replacement.
There are reports however that Sanchez could make the switch this month.
“(He is) a very good player. Obviously we will see what happens in this transfer period.
“If a good player comes to us that is better, if he doesn’t come we do it with the team we have. We are on a good period already – the whole season. Everybody is doing a good job.
“When he comes he will add something to the team,” De Bruyne said.
