England U21 international, Kasey Palmer, has left Chelsea on a season-long loan to Blackburn Rovers.
Palmer has had previous loan spells at Huddersfield Town and Derby County.
Blackburn Rovers is the third Championship team Palmer has been loaned out to in the last two years.
Commenting on the transfer, the attacking midfielder stated on Blackburn’s official website, ”I’m happy to be here and want to be a part of something exciting in the Championship next season. Moving forward I want to achieve something special here.
”As soon as I spoke to the manager and heard what he wanted to do here, the way he likes to play and having watched a couple of games last season, I felt it is a club heading in the right direction.”
The 21-year-old was part of the England U21 squad that won the 2016 Toulon Tournament.
Palmer joined the Blues from Charlton Athletic in 2005 and has yet to make his first-team debut for the Blues
