Sir Tope Tokoya, ex council boss of Odogbolu local government and ordained Pastor with Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM has emerged as Ogun state governorship candidate of Accord Party.
Sir Tope Tokoya was declared the the governorship flag bearer of the party alongside 26 candidates for the state house assembly, 9 candidates for House of Representatives and 3 candidates for the Senate at the party’s primaries held recently its state secretariat, Ita-Oshin, Abeokuta.
In his acceptance speech, the former council boss under PDP from 2008 to 2011 appreciated the State Chairman of the party, Elder Isiaka Amusa, the state executives and the entire membership of ACCORD for their support, understanding and confidence reposed in his leadership prowess
He also specially showed his gratitude to the national officers for their show of impartiality and integrity at the primaries urging all other candidates and ACCORD members to join him to work for victory at the 2019 elections.
Tokoya promised to run a government which put people first with emphasis on youth and women emancipation and also return the local government administration to its constitutional mandate as the closest government to the people.
