Supreme  Distilleries  Limited  organised its second  maiden talent hunt  football competition  among  eight  public  primary  schools in Ado-odo/Ota,  Local Government  area of Ogun State as  part  of  their integrity, encryption, adherence in  giving  back  to  the  community  they  domiciled  in  terms  of  productivity.

This  corporate  social responsibility  was  instituted  to achieve  a  well  organised football  team, the  company  engaged the services of  new  star  sports  promotion, which  handled  the  competition  effectively.

S D L  Jersey  was obtained  for  each  participating  schools  in  different  colours.

The  event which  began  on  18th  November, 2015, ended  on 16th  December same year, at  the  company’s  open  field, where Onibukun  recorded a 2-nill victory over AUD  Iju.

Human  Resources Manager, Mr  Olusimbo   Adetuyi, in his opening address, maintained that aims  and  vision of SDL is  to  create  an  avenue   for  budding  talents  that  will one day don the  green  white  green  jersey to represent the country at various levels.

In his speech,  Baale  of  Iju  Ota  Land,  Chief  Najeem  Alagbe, stressed the need to ensure cintinuity of the talent hunt by SDL, noting  that  the SDL  have  executed several  projects  in  the  community  such  as; drainage, Bolehole,  standardized  healthcare  centre ,construction of classrooms for  the  public  primary  schools , provision of classroom chairs and tables.

He  used the medium on behalf of the host community to  show  gratitude  to   the  company for  its  total  support.

In his closing remark, Comrade  Opaleye   Olasupo, Ota  Area  NAPSGAST chairman, appreciates SDL management  for  their foresight  to  prepare  the  pupils  for  future  upbringing  in sports industry. He  equally  implored  the company  to  increase  the  numbers of participating  schools  to  16, so as to accommodate all four  wards in  Ota Local Government, during the  next  tournament.

His words “we  will  be grateful  if  SDL  can  extend  their  hand  by  particpating   to sponsorship   of  inter-  house  sports  competition in the very near future.

“God  bless  the  sponsor  abundantly  and  we  wish  you  all  present  here  safe journey  to  your  various  destinations  he prayed, closing  prayer  was  delivered  by  Pastor  Adewale   George.

The  final  match  recorded  2-0  AC   defeated  AUD  Iju  2-nil.

Supreme  Distilleries  Limited  is  committed  to producing  high  quality  alcohol and non alcoholic drinks,  which  meet customers  requirements. The company  started  its  operation  in  Iju,  Ota,  Ogun  state in  January  2011.
