Oyo youths storm out to support Fakorede, as PDP Ibarapa rejects nominee

Early morning of Thursday at the Oyo state house of assembly was filled up with youths across the state led by Comrade Olujuwon Marshall in solidarity with Oluwaseun Fakorede, commissioner designate, as a section of PDP in ibarapa north also called for the nullification of his nomination.

The 27-year old Fakorede was recently nominated by Governor Seyi Makinde and yet to be screened by the Oyo State House of Assembly for the confirmation of the post.

Chairman of People Democratic Party, Sir Samuel Adigun, while talking to newsmen at the entrance of the house of assembly said the people of Ibarapa north are not satisfied with the nominee as he is seen not to be part of the community.

“Fakorede was one of those who attacked us during campaign which led some of us to be hospitalized. We are here to show concern about the nominee to the Governor and the Speaker that we totally reject the nominee”

Meanwhile, a group of National Association of Nigerian Students were seen showing a solidarity support for the young nominee while he awaits his screening at the Oyo State House of Assembly.

Comrade Olujuwon Marshall in his interview with the Nigerian NewsDirect, said;

“If Nigeria students shows support for a nominee then you can be rest assured that the nominee is the best for the state and we have been calling for a Not Too Young To Rule in the state and the governor is giving a youth chance to rule today”
