Ovia South West flood victims gets succour as Enabulele distributes relief materials


Victims of flood in Ofunama, Iguobazuwa, Udo, Umaza, Siloko, Usen, Ora and Ugbogui Communities of Ovia South West local government area have received donation of relief materials from the state government.

Some of the relief items distributed to the victims included: 70 Bags of rice, 50 Bags of beans, 60 bags of Garri, 30 Gallons of red oil, 30 Gallons of vegetable oil, 300 mat, 150 cloths (brocade), 20 bags of nailsand 100 Cartons of Noddles was handed over to the victims through the Local Government Chairman, Comr Destiny Oghayerio Enabulele.

The Council Chief, represented by the Vice Chairman, Hon Fred Aimienwanwu, while delivering the items, said It is a demonstration of love by the State Government in order to provide succour to flood victims because nothing can equate the loss.

He also promised that the local council would complement the efforts of the state government by providing essential services to the people of area to improve their living conditions.

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Hon. Ekhator Godwin Nosa, Deputy Leader, Legislative Arm, Ovia South West Local Government Area, thanked the state government for coming to the aid of the victims in his community and promised that all items received will get to each and everyone affected by the flood.
