Osinbajo kick starts power project for markets in Akure

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo flagged off the pilot project of a special intervention in energising markets at Isinkan, Akure, the Ondo State capital as part of the Federal Government’s  project being powered by the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and Ondo State Government’s Office of Public Utilities,  aimed at ensuring power supply in all markets across the state.

Explaining that the project will boost micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in the country, Osinbajo said, “We are focusing on major markets across the country to put an end to the power problem. We are working at Ariaria Market in Aba, likewise, Sabongari Market in Kano and we are focusing on markets in Lagos as well.”
