Everton forward, Henry Onyekuru has sealed a permanent move to Monaco.

The Super Eagles’ star moved to Goodison Park in 2017 on a £7 million deal from Belgian side, KAS Eupen before embarking on a succession of loan spells elsewhere.

The Nigeria international spent consecutive seasons away from the Blues, with Anderlecht and Galatasaray, where he won a Turkish league and cup double.

Monaco are understood to have agreed a fee in the region of £14 million for Onyekuru, which comes just a week after Djibril Sidibe moved to Merseyside on loan.

“We are very happy to have Henry Onyekuru with us,” said Oleg Petro, the Ligue 1 side’s vice-president.

“He has demonstrated his qualities in recent seasons. He is a fast and powerful offensive player who will strengthen our offensive sector.”

Meanwhile, Monaco have revealed that Michael Emenalo has left his role of sporting director at the club after nearly two years in the job.

The Nigerian, who resumed at the Ligue 1 side in November 2017 after leaving Chelsea in the same month, showed his gratitude to the club and wished them well for the season.

“I want to thank AS Monaco for giving me the opportunity to discover the French championship and wish the club and supporters a great 2019/2020,” Emenalo said.

Monaco narrowly avoided relegation in 2018/19 on the final day and were beaten 3-0 by Lyon in their season opener on Friday.

Emenalo spent a decade at Chelsea, after joining them in 2007, where he worked in the scouting and coaching departments.

During his time at Stamford Bridge, the West London club won the Champions League, three Premier League titles, three FA Cups, the League Cup and the Europa League.

The 54-year-old played for Major League Soccer (MLS) club San Jose Clash in the mid-1990s before moving to Israeli outfit Maccabi Tel Aviv in 1998.

Emenalo, who made 14 appearances for Nigeria, represented the Super Eagles at the 1994 World Cup in the USA.
