One year in office, Oyo lawmaker appluads Makinde for good governance

Numbers of comments has been heard in the wake up of one year in office of Engr Seyi Makinde as Hon Akintunde Olajide labelled His Excellency as a Gift from God in terms of Good Governance in the state.

Hon Akintunde Olajide representing Legelu State Constituency of the Oyo State House of Assembly, made this known in an interview with the press to discuss the impact of Oyo State Government so far in a year

“As a citizen, i can boast that the changes in the state are good for the eye to see, beautiful environment, improvement in health sector, tighten up the security of the state with the introduction of Amotekun as well as lighting up the city of Ibadan”

” We are talking about the physical projects but let’ not forget the invisible ones in terms of payment of salary on time for the civil servant which is a new thing in the state. There are things that brings happiness to the good people of oyo state and in a year we have seen what we didn’t expect in four years and I can tell you there is more good development coming from this administration”

“The  education system is now in a perfect state as people now withdrawing their children from private schools and enrol them into a government school and this is because of the impact of His Excellency in improving the education secretary.”

He added that the love of the people is in the heart of the Governor and the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly is ready to support his government in the development of the state.

“The 20bn loan is not for his consumption but for the development of the state, for infastructural development across the state so I see no reasons why Oyo State House of Assembly won’t support the idea of developing the State”

Commenting on the executive order granting financial autonomy to the judiciary and legislature in the 36 states of Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari, he made it known that it is give an order but the implementation is very important

“The Financial Autonomy to the Legislature and Judiciary is not a full autonomy, it is just to access funds on our own. It doesn’t give the right to other things”

He also questioned if the State House of Assemblies are ready to implement the order in terms of how much they are generating or if the country economy is stable in financing the executive order granting financial autonomy to the judiciary and legislature in the 36 states of Nigeria by President Muhammadu Buhari.
